Terms, privacy and disclaimer

Short and plain. By downloading or using Apex you agree to these terms. Last updated 12 October 2026.

Intended use

Apex is intended for security research involving Luau VM programs. Use it only with games and programs you own, and only with accounts you own. You are responsible for following applicable laws.

Privacy

We do not ask for your legal name or email address. Apex does not send your scripts, files or game accounts to us. The license server keeps the records listed below, including public payment references when you buy.

To run the license, the server keeps:

  • your username, which you choose with your license and which is not your real name;
  • if you buy: the username you chose, the plan, exact amount, receiving address and public payment reference. Payment records on these networks are public. We do not ask for your email or legal name;
  • your license key, stored as a one-way hash for signing in and, separately encrypted, so the owner can give it back to you if you lose it;
  • a random installation identifier and a hashed device identifier, used only to enforce how many devices a license may be used on;
  • a short, rolling security log with the time and network address of recent license requests, used only to stop abuse. Old entries are deleted automatically.

We do not sell or share this data, and we do not use it for advertising or tracking.

Responsibility

Apex is not responsible for any measures taken against your account, including warnings, bans, suspensions, loss of items or progress, or any other action by a game or service. You use Apex entirely at your own risk.

You are responsible for everything you run with Apex, including scripts written by others.

Your license

  • A paid license belongs to one username and is for personal use, is not transferable, and may be used on the number of devices it was issued for.
  • The shared monthly event key is the only exception to the rule against sharing keys. It uses the reserved username monthlyevent. Its 24-hour window starts when the owner creates it. Everyone using that key shares the same end time; it does not add to paid time.
  • One license runs in one Apex at a time, on the number of devices it was issued for (one, unless stated). The instances you start inside that Apex count together. A second sign-in is refused until the first has closed.
  • Do not share, resell or publish a paid username or license key. A paid key that is shared or abused may be suspended or revoked without a refund.
  • Do not copy, redistribute, reverse engineer or attempt to bypass the licensing of Apex.
  • Crypto payments are final. A license that is not delivered because of an error on our side will be fixed or refunded.

No warranty and limit of liability

Apex is provided as is, without any warranty of any kind. It may stop working, change, or become unavailable at any time, for example when a game updates. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage, direct or indirect, that results from using or not being able to use Apex.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Continuing to use Apex after a change means you accept it.
